T31A 2011 DXPedition

Welcome to the T31A Kanton Island 2011 DXpedition website. The website continues to be updated as the DXpedition planning and execution takes place.


The Kanton 2011 DXpedition is comprised of an international team from five countries. We will be on the air April 17 thru April 28, 2011 running 6 stations on 160M through 6M (SSB/CW/RTTY).

Kiribati:
Kiribati, officially the Republic of Kiribati, is an island nation located in the central tropical Pacific Ocean. It is composed of 32 atolls and one raised coral island, dispersed over 3.5 million square kilometres, (1,351,000 square miles) straddling the equator, and bordering the International Date Line to the east. The name Kiribati is the local pronunciation of "Gilberts", derived from the main island chain, the Gilbert Islands.
